Manor Royal-based Fynlo AI has secured a £45,000 Greentech grant from Crawley Borough Council to accelerate development of its AI-powered carbon emissions intelligence platform, designed to help manufacturers, importers, exporters, and logistics companies bring all of their emissions data into one easy-to-use system.
The platform aggregates Scope 1 and 3 emissions data, automates regulatory reporting including SECR, and provides direct access to integrated carbon offsetting through verified carbon removal projects, removing the manual effort and guesswork that currently plagues emissions reporting across the sector.
Early testing has revealed a striking finding: Fynlo AI's proprietary algorithm has identified over-estimation of CO2e emissions by up to 40% per HGV compared to standard industry reporting methods.
This has significant implications; companies are inadvertently inflating their carbon footprint, and for those purchasing offsets, the financial waste can run into tens of thousands of pounds annually.
With mandatory carbon reporting requirements tightening from January 2027, and the Department for Transport's recent Transport Data Plan signalling a new era of data-driven freight accountability, the pressure on logistics operators and supply chain-heavy businesses to get their emissions reporting right has never been greater.
Fynlo AI is now looking to connect with logistics companies with Scope 1 responsibilities and manufacturers managing Scope 3 supply chain emissions in the Manor Royal, Crawley and wider Gatwick Diamond region.
As a thank you to local businesses, Fynlo AI is offering an exclusive first-year discount on platform access, available only to companies within the Gatwick Diamond area.
